Congratulations to Bria Murphy and Michael Xavier, who just got married!
Bria Murphy, the actor Eddie Murphy’s eldest daughter with ex-wife Nicole, married her fiancé Michael Xavier on Saturday in Beverly Hills, according to PEOPLE.
Last December, Bria posted the engagement pictures on Instagram to share the news with the caption, “My heart, my best friend, my forever. I love you, always.”
In another dedicated post, she wrote, “I can’t wait to marry you.”
Xavier also took the time to share the celebration on his Instagram page.
“Forever my love,” the Canadian actor stated.
Eddie Murphy played a significant part at the private Beverly Hills wedding.
At the ceremony, he helped his 32-year-old daughter walk down the aisle. Later, he joined her on the dance floor for the traditional father-daughter dance.
In a video posted on Bria’s Instagram Story on Sunday, the Dr. Doolittle actor first slow danced with the bride to Stevie Wonder’s “Isn’t She Lovely” before doing a little solo dancing while Bria giggled and swirled her skirt.
She captioned the video, “Daddy’s girl.”

While talking about his children, the comedian said, “I really got lucky with my kids. There really isn’t a bad one in the bunch, everyone turned out to be really good people.”
Even during the wedding, Martin Lawrence’s daughter Jasmin, who is dating Eddie’s son Eric, managed to snag Bria’s bouquet, possibly indicating that there may be other Murphy family weddings in the future.
“I am overwhelmed with joy celebrating my sister Bria, and her husband Michael’s wedding. I am so extremely happy for you both! Yesterday was such a beautiful day!! Special shout out to Jas for catching the bouquet 💐👀😉❤️ Also, thank you all so much for all of the birthday wishes today. MUCH LOVE 💛🖤,” Eric wrote.
In June 2021, Eric and 26-year-old Jasmin Lawrence made their romance public.
Jasmin said in a January interview with InTouch Weekly that though she and her partner are the offspring of friends Eddie and Martin, they got to know each other through her uncle.
When Eric posted a sweet selfie with Jasmin on his Instagram in June 2021, he did the honors of making their relationship public.
“Head over heels in LOVE with YOU @jasmin_lawrence ❤️❤️❤️❤️ #myotherhalf #equallyyoked #iloveyou,” Eric wrote.
