Soul singer Betty Wright, known for her classics Clean Up Woman and No Pain has died. She was 66.

There is no word on the cause of death as of yet but a post to social media last week from Chaka Khan seemed to confirm that death was unfortunately near.

Her 1971 hit, Clean Up Woman was released when she was only 18 and it turned out to be the biggest song of her career. She talked about the hesitation behind the record in a recent episode of Unsung. Watch below.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Betty Wright’s family and friends.
