As a nationally syndicated radio host, actor, social media influencer, activist, and musician, Willie Moore Jr. has shown how natural charisma, prodigious creativity, can translate in both the faith-based community and wider market.

Born on December 20, 1978, in St. Louis, MO., he was adopted by Willie Moore Sr. & Flora Moore at the young age of three months.

His parents encouraged him to be a model student and as a result, he received multiple scholarship offers for his academic and athletic abilities. He later earned a degree in Psychology from the University of Mississippi.

He said his goal when he started his career was to use music, mission, and ministry to bridge the divide between the streets and the church to inspire, influence, and bring people together.

Each week, his acclaimed “Willie Moore Jr. Show” draws more than 1.7 million viewers.

The biggest musicians and celebrities including Hilary Clinton, Tyler Perry, Bishop T.D. Jakes, Barack and Michelle Obama, and many more have been guests on his ground-breaking uplifting broadcast.

The St. Louis native can also be seen in the almost 60 million homes worldwide that currently watch The Crew on TBN’s Juice TV and Joyful Noise on BET.

The nationally syndicated radio host has amassed a huge fan base through his online ministry, entertainment, and comedy, including over 700,000 Facebook fans, 225,000 Instagram followers, 70k Twitter followers, and 10 million YouTube views.

As host of “Something to Chew On,” Willie will highlight the hottest chefs on social media and promote their culinary skills as he eats their specialty dishes to validate if in fact, it’s truly “something to chew on!”

His St. Louis upbringing, coupled with his roots in a “cooking family,” make Willie the perfect host of the segment, as he brings his high energy as only he can.

Not only does he bring high energy, but he shares many of his preferences when it comes to food, and we couldn’t agree more.

The “Something to Chew On” host didn’t hold back when asked his food preferences, what dish/meal he likes the most, and what would be on the menu if he were to cook.

When asked what dish he can cook the best, his answer was none other than catfish. He even shared where his favorite spot to get wings.

“I’m gonna have to go with JR Crickets,” he said.

Willie even states that he prefers sweet over salty favored foods, and shares with CLEO TV that his guilty pleasure is banana pudding. The 43-year-old gave us more insight of what he prefers between fresh or fried foods. “I’m gonna go with fresh foods,” he reveals.

If given the opportunity to cook any meal, Willie reveals what’s on his menu. “Fish, potatoes, shrimps, onions, jalapeno peppers, mustard, and hot sauce,” he exclaims.

Willie not only shared his food preferences, but he also reveals that he is a big family man as well.

His 90-year-old father is his biggest motivation, and he has received the best advice from him.

“I got it from my dad, he’s 90-years-old. He said ‘go out and play dumb. People like to feel like they’re teaching you something, so go out and play dumb.”

Willie also revealed that the person that he talks to the most is his son, Khalil.

It is no secret that Willie Moore Jr. is a spiritual person. When asked how he starts his day, he shares that he begins every day by praying.

His favorite scripture is none other than Proverbs 15:1 “A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.”

Each year, hundreds of African American families participate in these projects to foster or adopt children.

Additionally, Willie continues to travel the world, inspiring people with his creative stories, comic delivery style, and music, which is changing lives across all generations.
