It looks like Rihanna has heard our asks and is giving us new music!

The singer took to social media to share her latest single entitled “Lift Me Up” with the Rihanna navy.

It will be featured on the soundtrack for the next Marvel film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

Fellow singer Tems, producer Ludwig Göransson, and director Ryan Coogler collaborated with Rihanna to write “Lift Me Up.”

The record was created by the musicians, who said in a press release that they did it “as a tribute to the incredible life and legacy of Chadwick Boseman,” the actor of the first Black Panther movie who passed away in 2020 at the age of 43.

“After speaking with Ryan and hearing his direction for the film and the song, I wanted to write something that portrays a warm embrace from all the people that I’ve lost in my life,” Tems stated. “I tried to imagine what it would feel like if I could sing to them now and express how much I miss them. Rihanna has been an inspiration to me so hearing her convey this song is a great honor.”

According to Variety, the single is being released by Rihanna’s own Westbury Road label in collaboration with Roc Nation, Def Jam Recordings, and Hollywood Records. However, the remainder of the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’s soundtrack will remain vague until November 4th.

“Lift Me Up” is Rihanna’s first brand-new song as a solo artist, following her appearance in the 2016 Star Trek soundtrack.

Although Rihanna hasn’t released an album since 2016, she has been featured on many songs such as Future’s “Selfish,” N.E.R.D.’s single “Lemon,” DJ Khalid’s smash hit “Wild Thoughts,” and Kendrick Lamar’s song “Loyalty.”

The news highlights Rihanna’s triumphant return to the music industry, which will continue in February 2023 when she headlines the Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show.

Rihanna’s most recent full-length album, “Anti,” released in 2016 was the latest project that the navy has gotten from the billionaire.

Since then, the young mother has grown her resume as a successful businesswoman and amassed wealth thanks to her lingerie label Savage x Fenty and cosmetics company Fenty Beauty.
