Things are getting sweet and savory on this week’s episode of What’s Cooking? Atlanta!

Pretty Vee is activating our sweet tooth as she stops by Cami Cakes located in Smyrna, GA.

The pretty ‘n pink theme along with the sweet scent of fresh cupcakes had our mouths watering for one of these delicious cupcakes!

On the menu are their famous Classic Cami cupcakes, their red velvet, and pecan cupcakes, and of course their peach cobbler cupcakes.

Owner Andra Hall shared her inspiration for how she got her start.

“So, Cami Cakes is named after my daughter Camille. It started when she was just about a year old. She went into the hospital to have what was a simple surgery, and she didn’t wake up,” she said.

After her daughter Camille recovered from spending her time in ICU, Andra made the decision to do what she loved and left her job in corporate America.

For young girls, and women who want to be bakers, Andra shared her advice.

“Do it, and knock it out of the park. That’s what I say. Go for it, and if I can help I’ll be happy to do so.”

Next stop, CLEO TV, and Pretty Vee head over to Irie Man Café, to pay homage to her Jamaican roots.

But first, we checked in with Something to Chew On host Willie Moore Jr. who enjoyed the delectable dish of Pineapple Charred Salmon prepared by celebrity Chef Xavier McGee, which is widely enjoyed by Ari Fletcher!
