Singer Kehlani recently came forward on Monday, December 12 in a since-deleted Instagram post to discuss how they had been sexually assaulted by a fan after their performance in Manchester, United Kingdom.
The R&B artist was enjoying the conclusion of the European leg of the Blue Water Road Trip tour with some friends when the incident occurred. Kehlani reluctantly expressed their displeasure with the disrespectful behavior in a message posted to their Instagram story.

“I’ve made video after video after video and deleted it because I don’t want any video of me as angry, triggered, crying upset as I am anywhere. I don’t care how sexual you deem my music, my performances, my fun with my friends dancing at clubs, or ME…. that does not give any of you the right to cross a boundary like sticking your hand up my skirt & pulling my underwear to TOUCH TO MY GENITALS,” they exclaimed.
Prior to this incident, the 27-year-old disclosed that they had experienced sexual assault, and talked about how the purported non-consensual contact brought up unpleasant memories.
“This s–t made me sick to my stomach. As a victim of sexual assault, I am endlessly triggered and mindblown.”
On their podcast “Sunday Gems,” Kehlani and their best friend Reyna discussed their prior experiences with sexual assault in 2019.

The artist has also been outspoken in support of people who have experienced sexual assault, particularly those who were objectified and mistreated by their ex-boyfriend Kaalan Walker, who is currently serving a maximum sentence of 100 years in prison after being found guilty of many sexual attacks against countless women.
Following the “Distraction” singer’s upload of their message, a number of fans gathered on various social media sites and left the Oakland native heartfelt remarks.
