Congrats to the new champions!

After impressively scoring a 102-85 victory over Iowa and their star player Caitlin Clark, the NCAA Division I team LSU Tigers defeated the Iowa Hawkeyes 102-85 and won the program’s first NCAA women’s basketball national title.

“Every player dreams of being on a big stage like this and having the game of your life, and for it to come to fruition – it meant a lot,” Jasmine Carson stated.

The new champions also set a new record for the most points scored by a team in a women’s championship game.

Angel Reese contributed 15 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists during LSU’s 102-85 victory over Iowa to claim the title. <——- NEW SENTENCE!!!!!!!!

In just her second season as the Tigers’ head coach, Hall of Fame coach Kim Mulkey broke down in tears as she won LSU’s first women’s basketball championship.

“Coaches coach a lifetime and this is the fourth time I’ve been blessed,” Mulkey said.

After winning three championships at Baylor, Mulkey, who is in her second season the institution, has now won four titles total.
