Phaedra Parks Shows Us What It Means To Find Love Again After Leaving

Phaedra Parks started off the year by letting us know that she had a new man, and we’re not mad at it. After her divorce from her ex-husband Apollo Nida played out on season 7 of Real Housewives of Atlanta, the 45-year-old didn’t seem sure if she’d ever smile so much again, especially at the hands of a man. But it seems as if things are getting a lot more serious between her and Tone Kapone.

The radio DJ was recently in Florida when the mother of two showed up and surprised him. “Look who popped in to see me in Miami while I’m at work?” said Kapone in an Instagram post. “We gonna get some of this Miami in after I’m done working.” The two are currently in a long distance situation, with him living in Chicago and her in Atlanta, reports Essence, so keeping the spark alive is absolutely a must.

When you’re with someone, and they can make you genuinely happy, make you want to travel to see them, and the important people in your life approve, then you’ve found a winner! They say there’s beauty from ashes, and a storm before a rainbow, but it’s true…your less than stellar times of life allow you to know what you deserve. And both of them, especially Parks deserves this type of love.

She announced her plans to divorce her former spouse in 2014, soon after he began his eight-year prison sentence for fraud and identity theft, reports Bravo TV. This moment was probably one of realizing that the man you thought you were going to spend the rest of your life with is not “the one” who you’ll spend that time with…and that’s a hard pill to swallow. Nida got engaged to Sherien Almufti in 2016, and he and Phaedra reportedly reached a divorce settlement in 2017.

And after eight years of marriage, it’s difficult to unsee life, not within the context of a spouse or significant other. Although the tumultuous relationship took a toll on the Georgia native, as you can see, she’s not letting it hold her back. Just look at them:
