Mathew Knowles is doing a new thang. According to TMZ, Beyoncé’s father and former manger of the Destiny’s Child is creating a musical based on the group’s career.

The show, Survivor: The Destiny’s Child Musical will be told from Mathew’s perspective and is said to “pull back the curtain” and share the origin story of one of the greatest girl groups of all time.

Knowles said the show will include how the group started, their rise to stardom and highlight his own accomplishments in the music industry. Knowles says ultimately, the show hopes to send the message that “building a dream takes sacrifice…even at the cost of everything and everyone you love.”

Sounds a little ominous.

Knowles shared the news on his Twitter and Instagram pages.

On his website, Knowles said:

“I feel it’s time to give the world an opportunity to hear, see and feel the victories and failures that I’ve had as a husband, father and manager who risked everything in pursuit of fulfilling dreams – those of mine and others.”

The show will feature a mix of music, dance and beautiful imagery. Knowles is collaborating with Je’Caryous Johnson, the producer behind the Set It Off Live stage play.

There are no casting details as of yet and the members of the group have yet to speak about it….Which is a cause of concern for more than a few people.
