Amber Riley is making her return to series television! The Glee alumna will executive produce and star in the NBC musical comedy, Dream.

The SAG Award winner expressed her excitement for this new chapter by writing in the comments, “I remember when they told me my career was over after Glee. They were right. Career ended, but my dreams began. Don’t let anyone else write your story. Take that BIG GIRL ENERGY and fight for your happily ever after. Win y’all! WIN!”

According to Deadline, the single-camera comedy centers around former team mom Dream Morgan (Riley) who peruses her dream of becoming a singer after her son graduates college.

The news comes hours after the 34-year-old announced her engagement to boyfriend Desean Black. A photo of the newly engaged couple was paired with a video of her engagement ring where Riley Shared on Instagram how “There was a time when I thought I didn’t want or deserve this kind of love.”

“I’m looking at a man who changed my mind,” she continued. “My time by myself, loving on myself, getting comfortable with myself, prepared me for you, and prepared me for this. I am so proud to say, I am the future Mrs. Black.”
