Chris Brown has been released from a Paris jail with no charges after being accused of rape.
Early this morning news broke that Chris Brown was being detained in Paris, for accusations of aggravated rape and other drug charges, a fact he vehemently denies.
According to CNN, a French judicial said, the 29-year-old is being “held along with two other unidentified people.”And even though a woman has come forward to dispute the rumors, the allegations against the singer have warranted much discussion online from fans and critics alike.
In the wake of #MeToo and #TimesUp, Brown has largely stayed out of trouble (thankfully) since he was released from prison in 2014 for violating his probation after an altercation at a Washington, D.C. hotel. He was famously charged with the 2009 felony assault against Rihanna and making criminal threats. He received five years probation and community service.
There’s been no word on if the singer will be released now that the young woman has spoken up about his non-involvement, but remember this video from a couple years ago?
T.I. even spoke out about the timing of the allegations, given Brown just became the youngest person to own his masters.
