Lizzo’s definitely feeling “Good as Hell!” On Sunday, she bared it all on the Gram, wearing nothing but her hair, sending her comments, good and bad, in a frenzy — over 13,000 and counting.
The singer posed nude in a series of racy Instagram posts and a steamy video that appeared to channel Kate Winslet’s nude portrait scene in the “Titanic.”
She captioned one of the posts, remixing a “Titanic” quote from Winslet, “Paint me like ya French b*tch.”
Love it or hate it, Lizzo’s never been shy about flaunting her plus-size body to the world. And the world hasn’t been too kind about telling her how they feel about seeing it.
She bared her butt, literally, on a prior Instagram post where she told haters to “kiss her a**, doh,” setting off the IG backlash.
“I think I’m finna throw up 🤮🤢,” one post read. While another said, “Promoting obesity isn’t cute.”
But some people came to her defense calling out, “But the Kardashians been doing this since forever and y’all still love them. 😂”
Lizzo doesn’t seem to be phased by the negativity, though. In fact, she thinks she’s most beautiful and confident when she’s naked.
“Being naked is very vulnerable…but the fact that I’m the most confident when I’m the most vulnerable really speaks to my testimony,” she told Sway in an interview on MTV’s “Total Request Live.”
But, Lizzo didn’t always think that way of herself.
“I would watch things on television and look at magazines, and I would not see myself,” she said in an interview with British Vogue. “When you don’t see yourself, you start to think something’s wrong with you.”
Lizzo had to learn how to love and embrace herself. And, in turn, she wants to encourage her fans to love themselves too – just as they are!
“I’m not trying to sell you me,” she said. “I’m trying to sell you, you.”
