It’s February, so love is in the air!
And to help celebrate love, Issa Rae is offering fans the chance to stay at her South Los Angeles home for a romantic during Valentine’s Day weekend getaway.
Collaborating with Airbnb, the Awkward Black Girl and Insecure creator even laid out an itinerary for the lucky guests.
Bookings will open on February 8 at 1 p.m. EST for a single stay of $56 per night from Saturday, February 12 through Monday, February 14 (Valentine’s Day).
“I’m inviting guests to spend a weekend in my hometown to experience the culture, businesses, and communities that influence my storytelling on screen,” the LA native said in the Airbnb listing.

She adds: “I can’t wait to show guests all the things that make black LA so special firsthand.”
The 37-year-old actor, writer and producer explained that the goal was to highlight LA’s Black culture, describing herself as a “proud South LA resident.”
To help guests feel highly welcomed, Rae wishes to emphasize local black artists such as Maya Iman, Vakseen, and Domonique Brown, who are featured throughout the mid-century home in View Park.

“It’s exciting to see the neighborhood get the attention it deserves as everyone prepares for football’s favorite Sunday,” she states. “From Leimert Park or View Park to Inglewood and Baldwin Hills, you’ll quickly learn why South LA is home to some of the city’s best, if lesser-known, food, art, creativity, and culture.”
Not only will guests have a fly scenery, but they will also have the chance to speak with Rae herself virtually.

Guests can participate in other fun activities, including a catered taco dinner for two to celebrate the 2022 Super Bowl. There is a beautiful panoramic view of LA and Hollywood Hills where guests can take excellent selfies and get amazing vibes. For the natural hair community, you can take home products from Sienna Naturals hair care. And for chill moments, there is a pool to relax and get the feels of the LA Winter.
