According to TMZ, Good Times star Ja’Net Dubois was reportedly found dead on Tuesday.

Dubois died unexpectedly in her sleep at her Glendale, CA home. While Dubois’ acting career began on Broadway, she was widely known as Willona Woods, the quick-witted, gossiping neighbor with all the tea, and a friend of the Evans family on the 1970’s sitcom, Good Times.

In later years on the show, Dubois’ character would become an adoptive parent to Penny, a role played by Janet Jackson. The two recently reunited at Jackson’s State of the World Tour after party.

Dubois also recently made a guest appearance on the ABC’s Live in Front of a Studio Audience alongside Jimmy Walker and Bernnadette Stanis.

She won two Emmys for voice over work on The PJs and was the composer and voice behind the theme song, Movin’ On Up, on the tv show, The Jeffersons.

She is survived by her three children.

Dubois was 74.
