People may be socially distancing and staying home but last night a DJ saved our lives and virtually brought the world together. DJ D-Nice did what he does best — play music. And, it was one of the best gifts we needed in these self-quarantine days.
Imagine partying with some of your favorite stars and friends around the world — no cover charge, no minimum drink order, no heels that hurt those feet, ladies, and you don’t have to leave the house to do it.
From our Forever First Lady Michelle Obama, to Rihanna, Kelly Rowland, Will Smith, Ava DuVernay, former Vice President Joe Biden, Bernie Sanders, Janet Jackson, and so many more, including Mark Zuckenberg, D-Nice had the world rocking on a Saturday night Instagram live party he called Homeschool at Club Quarantine, now dubbed #ClubQuarantine. The party that garnered over 100,000 live viewers, included an 9-hour dance party set of some of our favorite jams from the past and present.
“I never would’ve imagined that the best party I would create and DJ would be from the comfort of my own home,” DJ D-Nice said in an Instagram post. “Homeschooling is a thing! Yesterday was absolutely insane. The amount of artists and friends that virtually partied with me far exceeded my expectations. I’m feeling nothing but gratitude. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 Thanks to all of you that supported. This has been a great way to keep our spirits high.”
D-Nice ended the night with a remake of the classic oldie but goodie, Beyonce-version, of Frankie Beverly and Maze’s “Before I Let Go.” And, when we thought it was over, D-Nice came back to get the party started again.
