Johntá Austin and
Ne-Yo, two men with strong pen games in the music industry and dapper style, let us into their studios Sunday night for a battle of epic proportions. The battleground was Instagram Live. The two singers and songwriters, showcased some of the biggest R&B hits that they’ve penned. Though the outcome was arguably a draw, one man’s style proved supreme.
Not only did Austin come prepared with hit after hit, but he also came suited and booted. His choice of suit — Tom Ford. Under Austin’s blazer, he wore a bow tie that neatly hung over his pristine white collared shirt. As the battle intensified, Austin took off his blazer and declared, ‘You see you made me come out my coat” right before hitting the play button on the R&B hit,
Sweet Lady. Underneath his jacket, he wore suspenders.
With over 70,000 people tuned into their duel, Austin and Ne-Yo began trending on social media. While some people may not have heard of the grammy award-winning songwriter, they likely knew his R&B hits and quickly learned about his suave style.

Any man who comes to a battle in a suit is a man of dignity and that’s exactly how Johntá conducted himself through the entire Instagram Live. By the end of the live, he raised a wine glass like a true gentlemen.
