Bone-In Cowboy Steaks, Just Eats 537

Ingredients

  • 3⁄4 cup ketchup
  • 3 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon molasses
  • 2 teaspoons prepared horseradish
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon finely chopped anchovies

Instructions

  1. Let the steaks rest at room temperature for about 1 hour. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit. Heat up your cast-iron grill over medium-high heat.
  2. Pat the steaks dry with paper towels. Drizzle safflower oil over the steaks and season steak generously with salt and pepper. Cover the exposed bone with foil to prevent browning and place the steak on the grill pan.
  3. Grill the steaks for about 5 minutes, rotating steak 45 degrees halfway through for crosshatch marks; flip and repeat.
  4. Transfer the steaks to a baking sheet fitted with a wire rack and finish cooking in oven until steak reaches 125°F for medium-rare, about 12 to 14 minutes.
  5. Remove the steaks from oven and let rest 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

For JJ’S Homemade Steak Sauce

  1. Place all ingredients in a small saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat, then drop to low and simmer for 5 minutes. Strain and cool and serve with grilled steaks.
