Cinnamon French Toast Sticks | Just Eats

Instructions
Ingredients:
- 1 loaf of Brioche Bread (sliced into 8-10 slices)
- 3-4 tbs Unsalted Butter
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- ¼ cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 extra yolk
- 2 tsp Vanilla bean paste
- 2 cups heavy cream
- ¼ tsp of salt
Ingredients for coating
- ½ cup sugar for final dipping mixture
- 1 ½ tbs of cinnamon or final dipping mixture
- 1 16 oz bottle of maple syrup
Method:
- Cut each slice of bread into 3 even pieces and set aside.
- Using a medium-sized bowl, whisk together eggs, extra yolk, sugar, cinnamon, vanilla bean paste, heavy cream, and a pinch of salt until smooth.
- In a separate shallow bowl or plate, pour 1 cup of sugar and 1 tbs of cinnamon, then mix with a fork to ensure it is evenly blended.
- Place a grill pan or skillet over medium heat and coat with 1 tbs of butter. Add more butter for each batch that you cook.
- Dip each piece of bread into the batter, making sure it’s all coated. Let the excess drip off, then dip it into the sugar-cinnamon mixture.
- Place each piece of bread on a skillet or grill pan and cook on each side for 1-2 minutes, until golden brown. Plate and serve with bacon or sausage and drizzle with maple syrup.
