Instructions

Ingredients:

3large, sweet potatoes

1 cup of brown sugar

1 teaspoon of nutmeg

1 teaspoon of cinnamon

1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

1 teaspoon of cornstarch

½ stick of butter

½ cup of heavy cream

Pinch of salt

Method:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°. Bake sweet potatoes for 45 to 60 minutes,until tender. Allow to cool for 10-15 minutes, or cool enough for you to handle.
  2. Remove the skin from the sweet potatoes and mash the sweet potatoes in a bowl.
  3. Next, add in your butter and mix well, making sure it melts into the warm potatoes.
  4. Add in the brown sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon, egg, vanilla extract, corn starch, and cream and mix well. Continue mixing, or use a handheld mixer, until the potatoes are creamy, then serve alongside your ribs and Brussels sprouts
