Mashed Sweet Potatoes | Cooking Sessions with Tamar & Ms. E

Instructions
Ingredients:
3large, sweet potatoes
1 cup of brown sugar
1 teaspoon of nutmeg
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1 teaspoon of cornstarch
½ stick of butter
½ cup of heavy cream
Pinch of salt
Method:
- Preheat oven to 400°. Bake sweet potatoes for 45 to 60 minutes,until tender. Allow to cool for 10-15 minutes, or cool enough for you to handle.
- Remove the skin from the sweet potatoes and mash the sweet potatoes in a bowl.
- Next, add in your butter and mix well, making sure it melts into the warm potatoes.
- Add in the brown sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon, egg, vanilla extract, corn starch, and cream and mix well. Continue mixing, or use a handheld mixer, until the potatoes are creamy, then serve alongside your ribs and Brussels sprouts
