Ms. E’s Cast Iron Fried Cabbage vs. Tamar’s Dutch Oven Fried Cabbage | Cooking Sessions

Instructions
For Tamar's Fried Cabbage:- 1 medium head of cabbage (Sliced)
- 1lb. of Turkey bacon cut into one-inch pieces
- 1 medium Onion diced
- 2 tsp Onion powder
- 2 tsp GarlicPowder
- ½ tsp Salt
- ½ tsp Pepper
- Pinch of Cayenne pepper
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- Place Dutch Oven over medium high heat and coat with olive oil.
- Add the Turkey bacon and onions, mix well and allow to cook down for three to five minutes
- Next, add in your sliced cabbage to the pot. Mix well, making sure the Turkey bacon and onions are evenly mixed into the cabbage
- Season with the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, cayenne pepper. Mix well. Allow cabbage to cook down. For 5to 10 minutes. Until tender, then serve with along with chicken and biscuits.
- 1lb. of smoked pork bacon cut into one-inch pieces
- 1 medium head of cabbage(Sliced)
- 1medium sliced red onion
- 1 medium diced green bell pepper
- ½ tsp Salt
- ½ tsp Pepper
- Place a cast iron pan over medium-high heat.
- Add the Pork bacon, onions, and peppers to the pan, mix well, and allow to cook down for 2-3minutes.
- Next, add in your sliced cabbage to the pot. Mix well, making sure the bacon, onions, and peppers are evenly mixed into the cabbage.
- Season with, salt, pepper, mix well. Allow cabbage to cook down for 3-5 minutes until tender, then serve with along with chicken and biscuits
