Salisbury Steak in Onion Gravy Over Rice served with Broccoli | Cooking Sessions

Instructions
For Salisbury Steak:- 2 lbs. Ground beef for Salisbury steak 1⁄2 tsp Salt to taste
- 1 tsp Black pepper
- 2 tsp onion powder
- 2 tsp garlic powder 2 tsp seasoned salt 1 egg
- 1 tbs olive oil
- 1 large, sliced onion 3 tbs Butter
- 1 cup AP Flour
- 3 cups of water
- Season ground beef with salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, seasoned salt and mix well.
- Add the egg and continue to mix.
- Form ground beef into (8) 4-inch Salisbury steak patties. Next, coat the skillet with olive oil and place over medium-high heat. Place the patties in the skillet and cook for 3 to 4 minutes on each side.
- Remove patties from the pan and set aside. Add butter to another skillet over medium heat. Once butter is melted, add the onions and cook for 15 to 20 minutes. Remove onions from the pan and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add all-purpose flour and mix. Add a tablespoon of olive oil and continue to mix. Add the water and whisk until gravy thickens and is smooth.
- Add the caramelized onions to the gravy mixture and stir. Next, add the Salisbury steak into the gravy and allow to simmer for 3-5 minutes until heated through.
For Jasmine Rice:
- 1 cup of jasmine
- 2 cups of water
- 1⁄2 Tbs olive oil
- 1 Tbs chicken bouillon
For Broccoli:
- 3 Tbs Butter
- 1 Tbs Chicken Bouillon
- 2 lbs. Broccoli
