Strawberry Shortcake Trifles Recipe
Jazz Smollett’s Moscato infused strawberry shortcake trifles are as easy to make as they are to devour them!
Ingredients
- 1-quart strawberries stems removed and halved
- 1 cup Moscato
- ½ cup sugar
- Heavy cream for whipping
- Store-bought pound cake, cut into large cubes (or pound cake recipe from The Family Table)
- Fresh mint for garnish
Instructions
In a large bowl, combine the strawberries, Moscato, and sugar. Set aside in the fridge for about thirty minutes so the berries can form a syrup. Whip the cream with a hand mixer or stand mixer until medium peaks form. Begin to layer the mini trifles starting with cake, then strawberries, and finally the whipped cream. Repeat the next layer in the same order. Garnish the trifles with fresh mint.
