Welcome to Sweetie Pies reality star James “Tim” Norman was arrested and charged on Tuesday in connection to a 2016 murder-for-hire plot to kill his nephew, Andre Montgomery.
Co-star, Miss Robbie, shared her struggle with his death on the OWN show in 2016. Walking alongside her son, Norman, in St. Louis, the two reminisced about Montgomery after his untimely murder.
According to TMZ, Norman took out a $450k life insurance policy on his nephew in 2014. He allegedly hired a woman named Terica Ellis to execute the murder. The two spoke with each other days before the murder, and officers claimed that they were able to locate her phone near the scene of the crime at the time of Montgomery’s murder on March 14, 2016.
Ellis allegedly contacted Norman after Montgomery’s murder and then fled town. Shortly after that, while Ellis deposited $9k in cash into various bank accounts, Norman reportedly contacted the life insurance company to collect on Montgomery’s policy.
This isn’t the reality star’s first brush with trouble. In 2018, Basketball Wives star Jennifer Williams spilled the beans on her bumpy relationship with Norman.
Williams got a permanent restraining order against Norman after she claimed he stalked and harassed her following their break up. And, she didn’t hesitate to blast him on Twitter.
There’s no word yet from Miss Robbie or the Montgomery family about the latest charges. Norman is currently held without bond at a jail in Madison County, Mississippi.
