Charbroiled Oysters | New Soul Kitchen

Ingredients
- 1 dozen shucked and split fresh Oysters
- 1½ cups of breadcrumbs
- 1 tbs garlic powder
- 1 cup finely shredded parmesan cheese
- 2 tbs clarified butter softened
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 2 lemons
- Salt (to taste)
- Pepper (to taste)
- 1 block of parmesan cheese for garnish
Instructions
1. In a medium size bowl mix the breadcrumbs, garlic powder, parmesan cheese, clarified butter, and mix. Next add the juice of 1 lemon and mix again until bread crumb mixture begins to get like a paste. 2. Place 1 tablespoon of the mixture on top of each oyster on the half shell and pat it down. Once all oysters are completely filled, grate a little more parmesan cheese on top. 3. Place in the oven and cook for 10 -12 minutes until you see bubbling. 4. Remove from the oven and grate a little more parmesan cheese on top and squeeze on more lemon juice before serving.
