Instructions
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 brioche buns
- 4 slices of cheese (cheddar or Swiss)
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- ½ cup sliced red onions
- ¼ cup chipotle sauce
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce (optional)
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon curry paste
Method:
- In a bowl, mix the ground beef with salt, pepper, and miso paste until well combined. Form the mixture into four burger patties.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced mushrooms and cook until they are golden brown and tender. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the sliced onions and cook until they are soft and caramelized. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In a small bowl, mix together the chipotle sauce, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, curry paste and minced garlic. Brush the sauce onto both sides of each burger patty.
- Grill the burger patties over medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
- During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheese on top of each burger patty and allow it to melt.
- Toast the brioche buns on the grill or in a toaster until lightly golden.
- Assemble the burgers by placing a burger patty on the bottom half of each brioche bun. Top with the sautéed mushrooms and onions. Add the top half of the bun and serve hot.
