Chef Bren brings the Kentucky Derby to her kitchen with her spin on mint juleps.
Ingredients
- Mint Julep Ingredients
- 6 sprigs fresh mint
- 1 ounce simple syrup
- 6 ounces bourbon + more if desired
- Crushed ice for mixing
- Shaved ice to top drink
Instructions
In your julep glass, muddle the mint and simple syrup together. Add the bourbon and mix with your cocktail spoon. Add the crushed ice to your glass and top off with shaved ice and more bourbon, if desired. Serve with a sprig of fresh mint.
