Seared Blackened Salmon with Parmesan Mushroom & Spinach Risotto | Culture Kitchen

Ingredients
- 3 tbs of olive oil
- 4 salmon filets
- 2 tablespoons paprika
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon dried thyme
- 1 tablespoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix together paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, oregano, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper to create the blackening seasoning.
- Pat the salmon filets dry with paper towels and generously coat both sides with the blackening seasoning mixture.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the salmon filets to the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the salmon is blackened on the outside and cooked through in the center. Remove from heat and set aside.
