Kanye West — never one to disappoint with shock-value moments — vows to run for President in 2024 and under a new name.

Kanye and Yeezy designer Steven Smith sat down with writer Mark Wilson at the 2019 Fast Company Innovation Festival to discuss their roles as leaders shaping the future in innovation and design.

Among many topics, Ye discussed moving his fashion manufacturing to the U.S. — now, we can get with that, Mr. West — and legally changing his name to “Christian Genius Billionaire Kanye West” – say what!

Kanye drove the conversation in a completely different direction when he began to discuss his plans to run for President in 2024, to which the crowd broke out in laughter.

Of course, Ye being Ye sternly responded, “What y’all laughing at?” He continued, “When I run for President in 2024, we would have created so many jobs I’m not gonna run, I’m gonna walk.”

He explained when the time comes to kick off his campaign, it will be a walk in the park because people will be begging him to run the country.

Say what you want to say about Ye. He blazed the charts in the music industry. He took the fashion game by storm. He’s even tapped into affordable housing. Now this. Is the world ready for President Kanye West and First Lady Kim Kardashian West?

If we’ve learned anything from the 2016 presidential election, it’s that anything is possible.
