Bok Choy | Just Eats with Chef JJ

Ingredients

  • 4 heads of Bok Choy cut in half
  • 1⁄2 cup corn starch
  • 1⁄2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbs finely sliced ginger (julienne)
  • 1 tsp white pepper
  • 1⁄2 cup rice wine vinegar
  • 1 tbs mirin
  • 2 tbs olive oil
  • 4 cloves of garlic smashed
  • 1 tbs soy sauce
  • 1⁄2 tbs sesame oil
  • 1 tbs fish sauce
  • 1 cup chicken stock

Instructions

  1. Place a cast iron pan or a skillet with olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Place the cornstarch on a small place and season with a salt. Dip the bottom of the bok
  3. choy into the cornstarch and place it in the hot skillet and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Next add in the ginger, garlic and white pepper, then add red wine vinegar, marine, soy sauce and sesame oil into the pan. Move the bok choy around in the pan and gently tossing, making sure all the ingredients are being combined and bok choy is being coated with the sauce.
  5. Next add the fish sauce, chicken stock and cooked down for 1 more minute, until the sauce thickens. Toss the bok choy again to coat with sauce and serve
