Flavored Rice | Just Eats with Chef JJ

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of rice
  • 1⁄2 cup diced carrots
  • 1⁄2 cup diced onions
  • 1⁄2 cup finely diced celery
  • 1 tbs olive oil
  • 2 cups of water
  • Salt to taste
  • pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Place a medium sized pot coated with olive oil over medium high heat.
  2. Add the carrots, onions and celery and mix well. Next add the rice into the pot and stir, allowing the rice to heated through and a little toasted.
  3. Add the water and mix well, reduce the heat to medium low and cover with a lid and allow the rice to cook for 15-20 minutes until tender. Salt and pepper to taste and enjoy.
