West African Peanut Punch Recipe
Chef JJ’s West African peanut punch goes down smooth with the help of chile honey and the perfect amount of bourbon.
Ingredients
- ¾ cup roasted peanuts
- 1 ½ cups bourbon
- ¼ cup chile honey: store-bought, or you can make your own (see below)
- Roasted peanuts for garnish
Instructions
Put the peanuts and 2 cups of water in a blender. Blend at high speed until the mixture is completely smooth. Strain the mixture into a large pitcher that's been chilled. If you are making your own chili honey warm 1 cup honey with one tablespoon chile powder for 5 minutes. Cool completely before using. Add in the bourbon and honey, mixing to make sure the honey is completely dissolved. Serve with ice and garnish with roasted peanuts.
